Wear Love well

When God poured His love into my life, I couldn’t believe it. There was no condemnation or judgement; just love. Up until the end of my proverbial rope, I had spent most of my life in a state of perpetually trying to please God and others because I didn’t want to let Him or anyone down. I knew I would never measure up, but I also believed maybe God and others loved me more because of all the service and good works I did in the local church.

That old way of thinking and being is not biblically accurate. Jesus’ ministry consisted of Him loving His Father and then His neighbor. It didn’t matter what race, tribe, tongue or religion they were. He used the opportunities placed right in front on Him to change the world. One person at a time.

Jesus rescued me from an impossible situation. He did what man could not do. He opened my eyes and heart to things I’d only dreamed about. He is so much bigger than I thought He was. My old way of relating to God ultimately put Him in a box as well. And for those who know Abba personally, You know He can’t be contained. His ways are definitely not the world’s ways.

So chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: Compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be eventempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Colossians 3:12 MSG

Heavenly Father, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free form the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2) Help me to keep my eyes open, hold tight to my convictions, give it all I’ve got, be resolute and love without stopping. (1 Cor 16:13-14) Help me to Wear Your Love well. Amen.

Perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18
