Almost four years ago, I was in a place I’d never been before. I had some tough, time sensitive decisions to make and prayed fervently for wisdom and divine direction. Looking back, one specific financial decision I made during that time was driven out of fear. I needed to get out of the situation and was scared of the mess I was in. I didn’t hear an audible voice, but knew that God was right beside me, helping me take the next step. I remember asking, “Lord, I really need Your help. I’m scared and don’t know where to turn so I’m turning to You alone.” Whatever decisions I made during that season, I wanted God’s will no matter what.
During quiet time with my Abba a few days ago, I questioned this particular decision, second guessing my actions. Holy Spirit whispered in my spirit that no matter what decisions I’d made during that time, it would have turned out okay. “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out-plans to take care of you, not to abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11 MSG Because I am Good. Surely goodness and mercy will follow all of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 ESV I have good plans for my kids. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. Psalm 139:15-16 MSG I know the future so I’ve already made provision for you there as well. My future is in Your Hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Psalm 31:14-15 NLT
Father God, the past decisions have turned out for good to me and the kids. Romans 8:28 I worship You in praise and adoration! You’ve got the whole world in Your Hands! You are involved in and care about all the things; great and small. Help me to take every good gift You give and share it with others freely and abundantly. I want to continue being a part of Your mission and vision for human kind. Amen.
