Coincidence?

While riding the subway in Washington D.C., my friends and I were out of our comfort zone and unsure of where to get off. As we sat in our seats, Amanda turned to the man next to her and asked where we should get off to visit the National Spy Museum. He just “happened” to teach disabled people how to navigate the D.C. Metro. He helped us avoid getting lost. We knew this was NOT a coincidence.

Many people assume that such a big God would not trouble Himself with the seemingly miniscule events of our everyday lives. However, that understanding is colored by our human limitations and not supported by Scripture. For God, there are no unimportant events. (Gotquestions.org)

I am God, the only God you’ve had or ever will have— incomparable, irreplaceable—

From the very beginning

telling you what the ending will be,

All along letting you in

on what is going to happen,

Assuring you, ‘I’m in this for the long haul,

I’ll do exactly what I set out to do,’ Isaiah 46:8-9

(The Message)

Heavenly Father, it’s impossible to grasp how BIG You are! You are in charge of everything and nothing happens without You not knowing about it. There is no such thing as a “coincidence” in this world. Amen.

What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do. Isaiah 46:11
