“Please watch my purse, mom,” I said, as I stepped out of the hospital’s recovery room. Mom was resting after minor eye surgery and had an ice pack over her eyes. We laughed as I realized my request was impossible for her to complete at that time.
This brief interaction reminded me of 2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him....”
He is aware of His creation at all times. He looks and sees who we really are. Scripture reveals God's truth for everyone to see. It’s good to study His Word and ask yourself, “how am I doing, Lord? Where do I need to improve?”
“The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.” Psalm 33:13-15
Father God, how am I doing? I know You see everything I think, say and do. You care about me and you know me inside and out. You know my faults and weaknesses. You also know my strengths and victories. You help me daily to keep looking up at You to see what You want me to see, to do what I should do, and to give You glory when I get it right. Thank you for seeing me clearly and for continually helping me to become more like Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
"For a man's ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all his paths." Proverbs 5:21
