I’ve read through the Bible several times in my fifty plus years. Every time I do, I get my eyes, ears, and heart opened on a deeper level to Who God is. It helps me remember where I come from and where I’m going. It helps me take God out of the box I tend to put Him in. For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of the soul and of spirit, of joint and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 ESV
The Bible is God’s Love Letter to Humanity. I don’t want to miss out on God’s intimate Love by leaving His Love Letter on a shelf. His Story of how the earth was created and why we are here is all in His Book. It even tells us the ending. It’s a Story that goes on forever and ever!
I don’t want to spend my time here on earth alone and I definitely don’t want to spend eternity alone. I want to spend it with Jesus here on earth and then in heaven. His Light and Love surrounds me. He is all I need. He has all the answers I need. All I do is ask. Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. Matthew 7:7 MSG
Father God, You are the Lover of my soul! The grass withers and the flower fades, but Your Word stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8) The Word that goes out from Your Mouth never returns empty. It accomplishes all that which You have purposed. Your Word successfully completes every assignment You give it! (Isaiah 55:11) Go God!!! Amen.
The Bible is meant to be our daily bread, not cake for special occasions. (Author unknown)
