When Jesus was born into humanity, He chose humble people. Here He was, the Son of God, and His glory was hidden. His Plan and Purpose, though, were indescribably priceless. And He knew exactly what He was doing. “She (Mary) will bring a son to birth, and when she does, you, Joseph, will name him Jesus--God Saves-- because he will save the people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 MSG

So Joseph... went with Mary, his fiancee, who was pregnant. While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. She gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped Him in a blanket and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room in the hostel. Luke 2:5-7 MSG

We’re also told that shepherds were in the fields minding their own business, watching their flocks at night. Suddenly, God’s angel stood among them and God’s glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody worldwide: A Savior has been born in David’s town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. Luke 2:9-12 MSG

Happy Birthday Jesus! To think You chose to be born and grow up on planet earth just because You love us and want mankind to have relationship with Your Father defies human imagination. And yet, that is exactly what You did. Please help many others to turn their lives and hearts over to You and let You take the lead. In Jesus‘ Name, Amen.
