My granddaughter and I watched her 1st parade recently. The theme was “Strolling of the Heifers” in Brattleboro, VT.
It was kitschy and fun. Watching cows of all shapes and sizes stroll past made baby girl giggle and laugh.
The Cow Patrol (men and women dressed in cow suits from head to toe) cleaned up after the cows walking down the street. Music blared as they happily and eagerly tackled their job. They made the most of what they were doing.
Paul writes to the Colossians:
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (v 3:23)
And then in a letter to the Ephesians:
Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (v 6:7)
