It's Not About the Front Door

I’d been trying to get a front door replaced for over 6 weeks. Many issues kept popping up; preventing the job from being completed. The contractor said, “your house must be built on cursed burial ground.”

I laughed, but was increasingly frustrated. My irritation came to a head when the contractor showed up but was unable to finish the door....yet again!

I’d been praying and asking God to help me finish this project and didn’t understand the long delay. In the wee hours of the next morning, the answer came as the Holy Spirit gently whispered to my heart, “Lisa, it’s not about your front door. It’s about the the man that’s working on it for you. Tell him about Me.”

“I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Isaiah 55:8-9 (MSG)

Oh....I get it now! Sorry Lord, for not seeing it sooner. I trust You and will do what You ask. People are always more important than things. I’ve asked you to use me to be a part of kingdom work here on earth. Thank You for ‘eyes that see and ears that hear.‘ (Matthew 13:9-16) In Jesus‘ Name... Amen.

So will the words that come out of My mouth will not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them. Isaiah 55:11
