As December 25th rolls around this year, believers celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. God, (the One Who created everything there is; seen and unseen), sent His One and Only Son, Jesus, to become like us. Fully God and fully human at the same time.

God loved the world so much that He gave everything He had. Why did He do that? Because, His will is that no one should perish, but have everlasting life with Him in heaven.

God didn’t go to all this trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. (We already know how bad we are). So He came to help, to put the world right again. (John 3:16-18)

Father God, why You would humble Yourself to our level is beyond me. You came as a helpless baby boy born to parents who were nobody special. They named You Jesus. You stayed on this planet until You were in your 30’s; walking in our shoes, experiencing what we experience. And then,You willfully laid down Your life to atone for our sin. Three days later, You came back from the dead and You hold the key to life and death and where we choose to spend eternity. It’s such a simple plan (for salvation) that it’s (almost) unbelievable. And yet, that is exactly what You have done! I believe in Your Son with all of my mind, heart and soul. Happy Birthday Jesus! I love You because You loved me first. Amen.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
