I belong to a Zumba class where the teacher is a gorgeous, energetic, and vibrant young woman. The class consists of people of all ages and walks of life. I’m not known for my ability to dance, so it’s been a bit difficult learning the steps. To validate this truth, a beautiful 80 year old lady tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Honey, you’re doing great. Keep it up!” This woman has natural rhythm and even though plagued with arthritis, moves better than me!
What I love about this class is that the participants support and encourage one another no matter the age or ability level. The hour flies by as we focus on our teacher’s bright Zumba sneakers; dancing and laughing our way to better health.
Father, thank You for the ability to dance and laugh and have fun. Thank You for showing me the steps to this dance called “life.” Even though I’m still learning the moves, I’m enjoying the process. Help me to keep looking to You and Your Word for guidance. Amen.
Let them praise His Name in dance; strike up the band and make great music! And why? Because God delights in his people, festoons plain folk with salvation garlands! Psalm 149:3-4 (MSG)
