While beginning a new real estate project, I stepped out of my comfort zone and leaned into God; trusting Him to show me the next step. Since the building was empty, I brought everything I needed to spend the week, including an air mattress and bedding. Later that evening, after getting the little room in order, I walked to an armoire the previous owner had left behind to put away clothing. I opened the doors and lo and behold, there was a murphy bed with clean bedding and pillows ready to be slept in! Laughing out loud I thanked God for taking care of me.
Paul writes in his letter to the Philippian people: “...I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” (4:12)
Father God, You continually amaze me! As I cultivate an expectant and grateful heart no matter my circumstances, You are pleased. Every time I step out in faith, You reveal Yourself in ways Iʼve never dreamed of. I know that NO MATTER WHAT, You are in control. I trust Your Heart and Your Plans. Amen.
