All My Eggs in One Basket

With a 401K, I've been taught to put my earnings in different 'baskets', so that if one investment doesn't do well, another may fill in where money may have lost its growth patterns.

Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days. Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth. Ecclesiastes 11:12

This truth applies to finances in a wise way. But there is one basket I've put all my eggs into; the Lord Jesus Christ.

You, Lord, are all I have and you give me all I need; my future is in Your Hands. How wonderful are your gifts to me; how good they are! I praise the Lord, because He guides me, and in the night my conscience warns me. I am always aware of the Lord's Presence; He is near, and nothing can shake me. Psalm 16:5-8

Father God, I trust in You and You alone. Even my next breath is in Your Hands and I am completely secure in Your unconditional Love. Nothing will ever separate me from You now and for eternity. Thank You that You are trustworthy and will never leave or forsake me, no matter what! Amen.

PS: Mom, thank you for reminding me last week that it's wise to put ALL my eggs in God's basket!
