Holy, Holy, Holy

While working one day, this hymn came to mind and I sang it loudly!!! "Holy, Holy, Holy" was written by Reginald Heber (1783-1826). According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “Holy” means “exalted or worthy of complete devotion as One perfect in goodness and righteousness.”

I love the lines which proclaim, “Though the darkness hide Thee, though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see, only Thou art holy; there is none beside Thee, perfect in power, in love and purity.”

Looking back over my life, I stand amazed at what God has brought me through. His power and love and holiness has stood unwavering in the midst of joy and sorrow, peace and pain, suffering and thriving. Even when I don’t understand why, He is holy and worthy of praise and worship. Even if my world falls apart, He is holy and worthy of praise and worship.

Today, as a happily married woman, my family has been restored and renewed and I am in a place of great joy and happiness. My cup overflows with abundance. I rejoice knowing that the Lord God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He will never be moved and His promises are true and unbreakable. No matter what happens in this life, He is Holy and worthy of praise and worship.

Father, You alone are worthy of praise and worship. Thank you for bringing me this far and I know that no matter what, Your faithfulness will continue for the rest of my life here on earth and into eternity with You.

Give the Lord the glory due His Name; bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! 1 Chronicles 16:29 (NKJV)
