Autumn in Pennsylvania is beautiful. As I watch my husband blow off the driveway; thousands of colorful leaves swirl around his head. The sun is shining and the trees are brilliant. My marriage is blessed; the kids are healthy and pursuing their dreams, and our families are close. Life is good and I am happy.

“O what a wonderful God we have! How great are His wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and his methods! For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counselor and guide? And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce Him to act? For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by His power, and everything is for His glory. To Him be glory evermore.” Romans 11:33-36

Looking back over 45 years, I see the majesty, grandeur, and wisdom of God’s plan revealed. It causes me to burst out in praise when I realize what God has brought me through and the beauty that is being revealed more and more each day. The methods God chooses to accomplish His purposes are beyond human understanding. (John MacArthur Study Bible p. 2445)

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water--a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green and it goes right on producing its luscious fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Father God, You are my Rock, my Refuge, my Strength, my Redeemer. I will continue to trust Your Plan and Purpose in my life and the lives of those I love.....even my enemies. Thank you for Who You are and what You are doing. You do what You want; when You want to do it. No man can stand against Your perfect Will. Help me to continually trust You no matter what. Amen.
