I LOVE YOU MOM

While eating at a restaurant, I ordered Bourbon Pecan Pie; made daily from scratch and topped with fresh whipped cream. The flavor rivaled my mom’s pecan pie....almost. The difference is that I can taste the love in my mom’s pecan pie.

God blessed me with an incredible mom. She loves the Lord with all her heart and that love spills over into all her relationships. She finds good in every situation and something to love in everyone; no matter how ugly or broken they may be. My daughter and I call her our hero because she models unconditional love.

She is a Proverbs 31 woman:

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” (verses 25-29)

Father, you’ve blessed me with a wonderful mom. Thank You. She shared her love for You and I still remember asking Jesus into my heart with her kneeling beside me. I pray that You will continue to bless her and use her to love others like You do. May I be more like her. Amen.

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Proverbs 31:30
