Attention to Detail

I’ve heard people say, “God doesn’t really care about the details; He’s too busy doing other things.”

Genesis 6 tells us in detail how God instructed Noah to build the ark. Verse15-16, “And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.”

Leviticus has hundreds of detailed verses letting the Israelite people know how and when and why to worship God.

Jesus said in Luke 12:6-7, “Are not 5 sparrow sold for 2 copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of you head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” God cares for all that He created, regardless of how insignificant. He knows how many hairs are on our heads!!

God does run the universe, but He is SO BIG that He is involved in even the smallest and most insignificant things. After all, He who put the stars in space also created the smallest subatomic particle and the tiniest microbe. (Dr. Billy Graham)

By Him (Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.” Colossians 1:16

The Word of God is a detailed account addressed to mankind; detailing everything one needs to know in this life and what happens in the next.

Father God, thank you for Your attention to detail. Why You would care so much for mankind is beyond me; but thank You for Who You are, and thank You that You do care deeply and intimately. Amen.
